What’s Good Madden Heads..!
It’s that time of year that we all look forward to as we can almost call it Madden X-Mas!
This year it happens to fall on August 12, 2008 for us enthusiast..
As I sit here in my hotel room here in New Jersey on June 1, 2008 I got to thinking about how close we all are to the next GREAT installment of our favorite pastime that we grow to know and love as Madden.. 42 Days and counting!
This year being the TWENTY YEAR Anniversary for the series and a highly anticipated year for the Next Gen version, the community the Buzz is larger than ever!
A lot of new information is being released and indulged by us enthusiast like the best alcohol at the hottest bar.. Having said that with the recent EA Sports Community event we were treated with an assortment of info that we normally don’t get until much closer to the release date. Big up’s to all those guys delivering the info and keeping the ’09 juices flowing..
As far as I am concerned, ’09 should be one of the best years for the casual and hardcore Madden gamer. EA has done a great job by addressing the community concerns from the Franchise Mode player to the Hardcore Tournament player. No longer are the days of the Madden community having “no say” in the development process and it’s showing.. They listened and it’s showing.. Big up’s to EA on that one..
In closing I would say that this is the MAKE or BREAK year for the game but I would be exaggerating if I did say that because I have always felt that the game was good if you played it the way it’s supposed to be played..
Remember “You are only as good as your competition”
Now that all realms of the playing field are being exposed we can reap the benefits of a true HEAD Rush for us Madden Heads.. See everyone X-Mas *cough* I mean Aug 12, 2008

We fellas here we are. The dog days of the summer, no NFL on TV yet.. NBA is over.. MLB sucks until the playoffs and it’s just too damn hot to be lurkin’ outside somewhere..
Well as bad as all of that sounds and as boring/calm as it seems, this is the time of year that we all LOVE..
Let’s see here its 7/25/07 and we finally have embarked on a new NCAA Football year on the sticks.. (NCAA ‘08 is lookin’ real nice and is playin’ real good), then you have the 2K Sports folks back on the scene with NFL All Pro 2K7 for those who want to try something new as the storm approaches…
Then we have the NFL training camps starting up and last but certainly not least we are almost at the magic date a.k.a the “Storm is coming”
Now this is not a storm that will cause you any harm or anything but I am referring to the Madden release date (8/14/07) as the “Storm”..
The reason why I refer to it as the storm is that when the game comes out, everybody gets to runnin’ and buying up everything thing they need to make it thru the “Storm”..
Now we all know that you should stock up on the essentials before a storm hits but when it comes to Madden, there is not much else that we need once we get that game in our hands..
The fact that this storm will likely cause a lot of sick calls, late arriving to work or school and family depriving, the one good thing about this storm is that nobody gets hurt and everybody is having fun with a lot to say about the passing storm..
So as we prepare for the “Storm” that is on the horizon make sure you got all your essentials, priorities and honey-do list taken care of because when this storm hits, there is no sleeping thru it because if you do sleep to much you might just get killed after it passes..

“I am a Madden Pro”
Madden Pro vs. Madden Professional
I don’t know about you but that “title” has been thrown around a lot lately from a lot of different people who play this game on a high level.. Well the purpose of the blog this week is to shine some light on what it is like being a “Madden Pro” and what is the difference between a “Madden Pro” and “Madden Professional”
Disclaimer: Being a Madden Pro or Professional is not a career move, it should be treated and or approached for entertainment purposes only..
First off let’s start off with the Madden Pro side of the equation. It’s fairly simple for someone to qualify for being a “Madden Pro”..
All you simply need to do is put in the time to try to be the best that you can be, but the most important thing is that you should be very active in the Madden competitive scene if you want to be considered a “Madden Pro”.. That means that you should be participating in online or offline leagues as well as a heavy involvement in tournament play..
Also I did mention in my disclaimer that being a Madden Pro or Professional should not be treated as a career move because it is not a “career” but best believe if you are one of the top players and you know how to sell yourself, then there are some nice rewards and cash prizes and trophies that you can gain from being at the top of your game..
Now on the flip side of things you have people who are Madden Professionals.. Those are the particular individuals who have taken their “Madden Pro” status to a new level.. This means that the person has thrived on then league and tournament scene and has now ventured off onto other activities that surround the game of Madden but at the same time still playing and being active in the community on all fronts..
This also means that you have taken on new roles and assume alot more administrative responsiblites than a “Pro” but it’s all works out because that comes with the territory just like the newer perks of the Professional position.. Also being a Madden Professional has many more perks than a Madden Pro.. So basically you can use this analogy when comparing the two..
Madden Pro = Memphis Bleek - You get paid, you get fame, you get the shine but when it really comes down to it, you work REAL HARD for all of that
Madden Professional = Jay-Z - You get all the perks that Bleek gets but you get a chance to do a lot more and you get a chance to earn a lot more in the process.. So the next time you sit down and proclaim greatness on the sticks, make sure you know which category you fall in because there is a lot more out there for anyone but not enough to make a living off of it, well not yet..

“All I need in my life of sin / Is me and my GIRLFRIEND”
Having said that, we all have grown to know and love that famous quote that the great Tupac blessed us with back in the day.. Well today is a new day and this day has brought us a new quote..Say it with me, “All I need in my life of sin / is me and my MADDEN!”
MADDEN LIFE!
Well now that we have that out the way, let move on and think about it..As I embarked onto this latest project of MaddenLife.com, it made me realize that everyone who plays Madden is living the Madden life of some sort. So that is what made me go harder and really start this new world of ours now known as “Madden Life”Some may say, what is Madden Life?
1st off, Madden is or has been our “girlfriend” at some point of our Madden lives and what’s funny is that some of you may not agree with me but the truth of the matter is you are in denial if you deny that fact.. Think about it, Madden is there when you need it, Madden brings you joy, Madden brings you pain and Madden can bring you money if you are faithful enough to her (so get in the lab).So in conclusion Madden Life is or can be defined as someone who plays Madden for fun, competition or to past time because in Reality, what would LIFE be without MADDEN?
